BLACK HISTORY MONTH ACTIVITIES

This year at EFAM, Black History Month events and activities were very exciting!

On both campuses, parents came to present musicians and musical genres in keeping with this year's school project on music. Mrs. Touma-Saba presented Bob Marley and reggae at the North campus while Mrs. Iwuchuku presented Afrobeat music (percussion, funk, jazz, Magic system, paintings from Kehinde Wiley) and Mrs. Clarke presented jazz singer Betty Carter. We also had the privilege of enjoying live music from Julian Babou and Sonny Troupé, two musicians from la Reunion and Guadeloupe.

In the classes, students worked on different projects highlighting the contributions from famous African Americans in all fields.
