ANNUAL efam GALA “un air de guinguette”

Please save the date on Saturday, April 27th,  for our annual school gala, “Un air de guinguette”.   A guinguette is a traditional French venue with live entertainment, food and drink, often outdoors or by a river.

The event will take place at the Coco Plum Woman’s Center in Coral Gables, from 7 to 11 pm.   Guests can expect live music from the French Horn Collective, drinks and passed hors-d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour, followed by a three-course dinner and dancing with a DJ.  The French Consul General, Mr.Raphael Trapp will be joining us for this special evening.

We are currently looking for sponsors, donations, and volunteers.  Please contact the administration if you’d like to support this event by:

  • Donating an item or experience for our silent auction

  • Sponsoring the event

  • Donating wine or liquor for the cocktail hour and dinner

  • Volunteering and helping organize the event

Donations are tax deductible and sponsors will appear on all gala communications.

We are updating the gala website with current information.  You will be able to purchase your tickets from this platform.  Tickets and sponsorships will be available starting this Monday, March 11th on the gala website: https://www.efamgala.org/

We are looking forward to seeing you there for a great night of fun!

A snack will be provided mid-morning and during aftercare. However, students must bring their own lunch box with their lunch, napkin, silverware and water bottle every day .

FUNDraising update

This year’s Fundays were a great success with an unprecedented participation rate of 70% of EFAM families. We were able to meet 70% of our goal for the week, and have currently reached 75% of our goal for this school year’s annual fund. Thank you parents for your participation and commitment to supporting the school. Our highest participation ratio was in the Petite Section North campus. Parents from this class are invited to attend a special breakfast with their child at school on April 2nd.

As of today, we have raised $ 45 166 for this year’s annual fund, reaching 75 % of our $60 000 goal for 2023-2024.

a word from mo mayrides, president of the parents’ club

The Parents Club thanks the friends and families who attended this year's Kermesse! We were so happy to host 220 kids this year on a super beautiful Saturday afternoon full of rides, music, arts & crafts, good food, and great company! A very special thanks to EFAM, all of the parent and student volunteers, and to Carla McKinley, who led the Club's planning of the festivities. We hope parents found the used books, uniforms, and manicure stations useful additions to the event. If you have comments or suggestions for next year, please send them to club@frenchschoolmiami.org
