Après avoir étudié les représentations d’oiseaux de Jean-Jacques Audubon, ornithologue, naturaliste et peintre américain d’origine française (1785-1851), nous avons pris comme modèle les oiseaux sur certains arrêts de bus de Miami. Nous avons reconnu une aigrette blanche et un héron.

After studying the birds illustrations by Jean-Jacques Audubon, an American sculptor, ornithologist, naturalist and painter (1785-1851), we took as a model the birds on some bus stops in Miami. We recognized a white egret and a heron.

Nous avons projeté la photo du panneau central sur la planche en forme de feuille, tracé le contour des oiseaux et du feuillage.
Puis, nous avons peint le fond, les branches et les plantes à l’encre. Nous avons utilisé de la peinture acrylique blanche pour peindre les oiseaux.

We projected the photo of the central panel on the classroom whiteboard and outlined the the birds and foliage. Then we painted the background, the branches and the plants with colored ink. We used white acrylic paint to paint the birds.
