BIENVENUE à nos nouveaux enseignants !

WELCOME to our new teachers!

We’d like to welcome our new teachers this year:

  • Antoine Jarry is the new CP/1st grade teacher at the South campus this year. Previously, he taught in a French school in Cairo, Egypt. Antoine is from Nantes in France.

  • Christelle Bruneau is the new CE1/2nd grade teacher at the South campus this year. Christelle taught in a Montessori school in Miami before coming to EFAM. Christelle is from Martinique, an overseas region of France located in the Caribbean.

  • Carlos “Teo” D’Elia is our new PE teacher on both campuses. He is also in charge of the after school sports program on both campuses. Teo comes from Argentina and is also introducing Spanish to our students during PE classes.

  • Massiel Rodriguez is our new music teacher on both campuses. She teaches music to all of the students from PreK3 to 5th grade. Massiel uses songs, dances and instruments to introduce students to music appreciation, rhythm work and singing. Massiel is from Cuba and has a background as a choir director.

  • Pauline Bertuit is our new assistant at the South campus. She assists our preK and K teachers when needed and also supervises lunches and recess for our elementary students. Pauline has worked in other preschools in Miami prior to EFAM. She comes from Montpellier, in the South of France.


PICK UP

Afin de faciliter et d'accélérer le ramassage des élèves des classes élémentaires, les CE1 et CE2 du campus sud sortiront du bâtiment par la porte B (côté cour de récréation), à partir du lundi 4 octobre.

Veuillez noter qu'en raison de problèmes d'hygiène et de sécurité, les chiens et autres animaux de compagnie ne sont pas autorisés lors du dépôt et ramassage des élèves.

In order to facilitate and speed up the elementary pickup, 2nd and 3rd grade students in South campus will exit the building at gate B (playground side), starting Monday, October 4.

Please note that, due to hygiene and safety concerns, dogs and other pets will not be authorized anymore at pickup and drop-off.

JOURNÉES PÉDAGOGIQUES

Teacher planning days

Les 27 et 28 septembre, lors des journées pédagogiques, tous les membres du personnel de l’EFAM ont renouvelé leur certification de premiers secours (CPR) et ont participé à des séminaires de développement professionnel. Monsieur Gwenael Petillat, conseiller pédagogique de l'Éducation Nationale, a animé la formation pour nos enseignants français.

September 27 and 28 were teacher planning days for our staff. They have been renewing their CPR certification as well as work on professional development seminars. Mr. Gwenael Petillat, a pedagogical advisor from the French Ministry of Education was hosting the seminar for our French teachers.


ATELIERS APRÈS LA CLASSE

After school activities

Please note that pick-up for after school activities is at 3:45 PM for PreK and Kindergarten.

Pick-up for study hall and elementary after school clubs is at 4:45 PM, there is no 15-minute pick-up window, parents and guardians must pick up their children by 4:50 PM at the latest.

Please note that there is no after care for elementary students at this time.

Spaces are still available in the following after school clubs:

  • NORTH CAMPUS PREK/K - Individual piano lesson from 3:15 to 3:45

  • NORTH CAMPUS ELEMENTARY - Multicultural Club on Thursdays with Mr Teddy, Modern Dance on Wednesdays with Center Stage Academy, Sports Club with Teo on Fridays

  • SOUTH CAMPUS PREK 4 and K only - Beginner’s Spanish on Tuesdays with Ani

  • SOUTH CAMPUS ELEMENTARY - Study Hall every week day with EFAM teachers and Sports Club with Teo on Thursdays


RETOUR DES VACANCES D’OCTOBRE

RETURNING FROM OCTOBER RECESS

In order to maintain a safe environment for all students and staff upon our return from fall recess, we would like to remind you of the following:

  • A negative RT- PCR COVID test will be required for ALL STUDENTS AND STAFF.

  • RT- PCR COVID test must be taken no earlier than Friday October 22 .

Test results are to be sent in PDF format by email to:

Both the child’s full name and the date of collection of the test must be visible in the document.
