¡Vamos a Celebrarlo! Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
In line with the celebration of the Hispanic Heritage Month, the students from different classes participated in different activities designed to enrich their knowledge about the rich cultural heritage of the Hispanic community and the contributions of its members to the society.
In the third class of the South Campus, the class started the celebration in a festive mood by dancing to the beat of Join the Celebration, a song dedicated to this year’s celebration of the Hispanic Heritage Month. Then, they talked about the different architectural landmarks in Miami that is inspired by Hispanic culture or has played a significant part in the long history of their community in Miami. They also researched about the flags of the different Hispanic countries and talked about the meanings behind the colors and symbols in them.
Meanwhile, in the North Campus, the third graders read an article about different Hispanic personalities which made significant contributions in the different fields and industries. They made a profile chart of those personalities and shared them with the class.
The celebration is just getting started. The students from each class will surely learn more in the month-long celebration of the Hispanic Heritage Month. So, what are you waiting for, ¡vamos a Celebrarlo!
