The Fall Scholastic Book Fair

    The Scholastic Book Fair, which was held from September 30th through October 4th, is meant to inspire a love of reading among children. In addition to books, educational toys, school supplies and book accessories will be available. Children have the opportunity to select the books they would like to read, based on their interests. Research shows that when children have the opportunity to pick the books that they read, they’re much more likely to enjoy reading.

          Scholastic purchased California School Book Fairs, back in 1981. Right after, Scholastic began hosting book fairs. Scholastic Book Fairs currently manages more than 120,000 book sale events with schools across the country. They are known as the largest operator of children’s book fairs in the country.

          Book fairs help engage students in recreational reading. The fair is all about the joy of discovery, and the power of choice for the students. Students can discover authors and read about topics unfamiliar to them. We are excited to see what your child chooses to read and discover!
